Не претендую на роль эксперта. Просто читал, что само слово "ведьма" произошло от слова "ведать", то есть "знать". Просто женщина, которая много знает. А негатив за ними закрепился потому, что про добрые дела люди быстро забывают, а вот про причиненное зло помнят долго. Из поколения в поколение передают. good
