В лисичках содержится вещество хиноманноза, которое губительно действует на посторонние микроорганизмы, поэтому ни гельминтов, ни прочих членистоногих в мякоти не встречается. Поэтому лисички единственный кошерный гриб. Кроме того в лисичках содержится эргостерол, который положительно действует на ферменты печени. Кроме того лисички являются хорошим глистогонным средством.
